HEAVENLY CINNA PUFF

Ok Junior High Students you asked and here you go!

Side note: the recipe for the dough we use is the same for Rolls, Cinna Puffs, Cinnamon Rolls, and Buns.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

1 cup Sugar
1 Tbsp Ground Cinnamon
1 tsp Ground Nutmeg
1 tsp Ground Ginger Powder
1 tsp Ground All Spice

Bread Dough or Biscuit Dough (Use any bread recipe, frozen bake-n-serve bread/roll or use a can of refridgerator biscuits.)

Glaze to go over cooked Cinna Puff

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

  • 2-3 tablespoons heavy cream or milk

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 2 tablespoons honey

  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

HOW TO MAKE:

Mix sugar and spices together in a bowl. (Sugar mixture)
Make dough (if your making dough from scratch add a ¼ tsp of each spice to dough as it mixes), or thaw dough or pop open can.
Once dough is room temp (or has risen) dredge in sugar mixture. Extra sugar mixture can be reused, put in a ziplock bag, write the date on it and reuse it.
Bake according to directions of recipe for bread or on package.
Once Cinna Puffs are baked let cool for a few mins before adding glaze over the top.
Serve Warm! That is when they are the best.
