Food Services

Good nutrition and academic success go hand in hand!

Our Food Services team is dedicated to students’ health, well-being, and their ability to learn. We support academic success by providing healthy meal choices while promoting lifelong nutrition and fitness practices.

Nutritional Excellence

All of our school campuses participate in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP). The NSLP is a federally assisted meal program that provides nutritionally balanced, low-cost or free meals to qualifying students. The food and beverages we sell or serve on our campuses meet the state and federal requirements, which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. We encourage our families to apply for meal benefits by completing a Free and Reduced Meal Application.

Meal Account Balances

Every student at Stockton has their own lunch account, though families are welcome to pay once for multiple students. Simply let us know how much money to apply to each student’s account. Payments may be made by check (payable to USD 271) or digitally through our online payment portal. We send account statements every two weeks—on the 15th and the last day of every month. To ensure your child can continue participating in our meal programs, please pay all negative balances before the next statement date. Funds remaining at the end of the year carry forward to the next school year unless otherwise requested.

Home Meal/Snack Requirements

Students are welcome to bring meals from home; however, we ask that sack lunches not contain soda, caffeinated or sugary drinks (including sports drinks and coffee), or candy. Students may always purchase milk or juice in our cafeteria.

Please remember, we are a nut-free school. For the safety of all students, do not send foods made with tree nuts, peanuts, or nut butters and flours with your child.
