Reading night at the district office was a success! We had 26 students who came to learn and have fun!
We held our SGS spelling bee today. We had some awesome spellers!
Our bee lasted 26 rounds!

Unified School District 271 will have a two hour delay on January 19, 2024. When you have 3 kids under 13 at home, you do everything you can to help the roads clear. Stay warm!
Applications are now open for the Kansas Future Teacher Academy, a five-day program designed for high school students interested in teaching as a profession.
The Academy will hold two sessions, June 3-7, and July 15-19.

When you have a vision for your students and you take a risk to try something new, one must ask for trust, grace, and support. Today we made a vision come true with our first Career Day for SHS Juniors and Seniors. The students had resumes in hand, questions to ask, and learned about opportunities in their community. Without the generosity of businesses in and surrounding the community this would not have happened. We hope this grows for years to come for our students and the community that supports us. Thank you to those that took time out of their busy work day to enlighten our students. You are appreciated.
