The Kansas Cosmosphere was in the schoolhouse today! Grades K-4 created solar system bracelets, made ice cream w/ Oreo moon phases, shot off rockets, and visited the planetarium! Thank you Dane G. Hansen!
SHS Food Science students presented their project and conclusions on how to make a healthier sugar cookie to the 8th grade science class. Students researched healthier alternatives for ingredients, created a calorimeter to test foods, conducted a sensory analysis on 4 variations of cookie and analyzed the results. #PBL
Nutrition & Wellness students researched a stress management strategy to teach their classmates each #wellnesswednesday. Students learned how to recycle a t-shirt into a tote bag to hold a food bank donation/ other contribution to someone in need. Civic Engagement @ksderedesign
