English III finished their novel study “Prisoner B-3087” by Alan Gratz. The students loved this novel and some couldn’t put the book down. The students developed a large amount of empathy for our main character, Yanek (a Jewish boy during the Holocaust). The project was to put themselves in Yanek’s shoes and write an “I Am” character poem through his senses. They all did fantastic!
