Note: Instead of starting high jump at 9:30, it will now begin at 10:00 with all the other field events.
Our JH (6-8) track athletes will be sent to one of two events on Thursday, April 13, of this week. Please check with your athlete to find out which event they are participating in this week. Phillipsburg is a 10 am start and the Natoma meet (held at USD 271) is a 2 pm start. Go Tigers!
Our fourth grade is celebrating "1000 books read" during the current school year! They were rewarded with a Volcano Escape Room activity! They are also studying volcanoes in science. #TigerPride271

On Tuesday, April 11th, SJHS will host our track and field invitational. It starts at 10 am with running events starting at 11 am. Please note the order of events.
School will not be held on this day for our students. The SHS meet will start at 3 pm.

English IV class is starting to create a children’s book with Ms. Anne’s kindergarten class. The kids loved this and we will travel back again next Wednesday to continue. They have to create the characters, setting, and plot according to the kindergartener’s’ imaginations. 🥰
We have been blessed with 3 True Blue Tigers for the month of March. Congratulations to Rachel, Piper, and Beckem. We are honored to have these students represent USD 271! They represent integrity, courage, and kindness.

Wake Your Brain: Breakfast provided by staff and open gyms to get warmed up for another day of state assessments.
We are wrapping up week of one of the Kansas State Assessment Program window! Our families, staff, and students are supporting each other in a variety of ways.
*Respectful travel through our building.
*Snacks provided by our families and staff.
*Prek-2 students made locker tags for our 3-7 graders.
*An SHS Community Group wrote and delivered notes of encouragement.

Our SGS Kindergarten class has been learning about kindness and how we as kindergartners can show kindness to others in our school and community. We have also been working hard to learn the writing and illustrating process of a book and would like to publish our very own kindness book sharing ways we show kindness to others. We would like to provide each student with a copy to share with their families.
Your donations will allow each student to have a copy of the book at low to no cost. You can sponsor a book for one child for $33, or provide a donation towards our class goal of $462.
