Dear USD 271 Parents/Caregivers:
We want to communicate to you a recent update to our Crisis Plan. We have added “Hold In Place” to our procedures.
Hold In Place would be used for student or staff medical emergencies and situations to protect the privacy of a student or staff member. Only those staff members and parents/caregivers of students directly impacted will be contacted when the situation is resolved.
Hold In Place
All students and staff members to the nearest classroom
Lock doors and remain calm
No movement outside of classrooms
Continue instruction
Await further instructions
We will continue with our three levels of lockdowns.
Level I is the lowest level. On level 1 there is no immediate danger. Only those staff members and parents/caregivers of students directly impacted will be contacted when the situation is resolved.
On Level 2 there is a call for caution. We will contact parents/caregivers following a Level 2 lockdown. This notification will come through our Apptegy SMS and voice system.
Level 3 indicates danger inside the school. We will contact parents/caregivers following a Level 3 lockdown. This notification will come through our Apptegy SMS and voice system.
