Mrs. Becker's first grade class went all out for Kansas's 164th birthday! They participated in live Zoom sessions with professionals across the state to learn about the many resources and symbols that make our state great! They made their own Kansas flags, Ornate Box Turtle Hats, and even made edible covered wagons for snack. #TigerPride271

The fifth graders attended Eagle Day at Kirwin National Wildlife Refuge. Wildlife rehabilitator, Bill Whinery, presented an educational program on the American Bald Eagle and other raptors. The students then observed the migratory birds on the lake. This trip tied in with their study of habitats and ecosystems in Science class. #TigerPride271
