Teamwork in action! 💪 Yesterday, in the 8-12 ELA classes, students tackled a puzzle challenge without any visual aids—and learned some powerful lessons along the way. 🧩 We talked about how everyone learns differently, works at their own pace, and uses unique strategies—but can still reach the same goal. 🙌 No one gave up, even when another team finished first. So proud of the perseverance, collaboration, and thoughtful reflections shared today! 💡❤️ #TigerPride271 #Teamwork #GrowthMindset #LearningTogether #StudentSuccess

Dress Code Reminder

On the first day of school, we reviewed the dress code during our student assembly and explained that it would be enforced this year. While the dress code is not new, consistent enforcement ensures fairness for all. Yesterday, several students were in violation, so today we began applying the rules as discussed.

The dress code is included in the student handbook and available through the school office. Just as colleges, workplaces, and even restaurants have dress codes, Stockton Schools uphold these expectations as part of preparing students for their futures. Students—and parents—may not always agree with the rules, but learning to respect them is an important step in building responsibility.

Consistent enforcement is essential. For example, if one part of the policy—such as inappropriate wording on shirts—is addressed, other areas, such as shorts that are clearly too short, must also be addressed. Enforcing the entire dress code ensures that expectations are clear and applied fairly to all.

To clarify, athletic uniforms are handled separately. Volleyball shorts are designed for the efficiency of the sport, while cheerleading uniforms should not expose midriffs. Shirts that are shorter in length must be layered with another shirt underneath. The handbook applies during the school day, while uniforms are based on what is appropriate for extracurricular safety and performance.

Thank you for your support in helping us maintain a respectful and focused learning environment for every student.
