Drivers Education visited the Rooks County Court House to gain knowledge about the vehicle registration process from Treasurer Denise Murchie.
In the classroom the guest speaker was Michelle Stithem from Garrett Insurance. The students learned that there is much more to owning and operating a vehicle.
Thank you to the guest speakers for enhancing our learning experience!

Today was full of unique learning opportunities for our Driver's Ed students. A big shoutout to our guest speakers State Trooper Hileman and Jeff Riener from Farmers National Bank. Our students were shown what happens to drivers and passengers in a rollover and "tried" to walk the line with the impairment goggles. Even Mr. Basart attempted it! They then had classroom discussions about seatbelt safety and driving under the influence. Jeff Riener spoke to the students on the ins and outs of purchasing a vehicle and the loan process. Each student filled out a loan form for practice as well. Both speakers imparted valuable information. Thank you Officer Hileman and Jeff Riener!
