Authenticity, Belonging, Challenge!
The Stockton Grade School staff is ready for the 22-23 school year! #TigerPride271
Thank you to our USD BOE and district office staff for the delicious staff breakfast on Wednesday morning! We were welcomed by Mrs. Armstrong our superintendent, Mr. Jesse Stithem our BOE Vice President, and Mrs. Raven Leake our Stockton Chamber executive director!
Reflecting on our four days of professional development! From staff-As a student, I wondered what happened on PD days and now I know!
Monday was a classroom workday and staff collaboration opportunities. Tuesday was focused on required annual trainings and building level staff meetings. Wednesday our training was with ESSDACK staff on restorative justice-the crisis cycle, consequences, circles, and managing conflict. Thursday found us back in the classrooms for preparation, a pause for team building, and new resource training. We are TIGER Ready! #TigerPride271
Rooks County School Districts’ Update - August 19, 2022
Welcome back to school! After a long and hot summer, it is so nice to begin the new school year. Each of the three districts in the county have been preparing for a wonderful year.
USD 269 Palco, USD 270 Plainville, and USD 271 Stockton met last week and again today to discuss a variety of school topics. One of the many things we learned over the last couple of years is how beneficial it is to communicate on a regular basis about what is happening in each of our school districts.
Once again, we plan to send a community message to you, our parents/guardians, community members, and school staff. This year we are going to publish a message on the first Friday of every month rather than weekly. However, in the event of pressing issues, including health concerns, we will post messages more frequently.
At this time each district has prepared a “Test Plan” and “Implementation Plan” for COVID. If a student or staff member has symptoms and would like to be tested for COVID, he/she may contact a building administrator or the county health department. Tests need to be verified by school administration or the county health department. In the event of a positive test, the individual will need to stay home for five days from the start of symptoms. If no symptoms persist after five days, the individual may return to school/work and wear a mask for an additional five days.
As always, please reach out to your district’s administration if you have any questions or concerns. We appreciate your support and look forward to working with you again this year.

Attention 8-12 Parents at USD #271: We do daily announcements to parents/guardians of our 8-12 students. If you are not receiving these and would like to receive these please email Mrs. Hrabe at mhrabe@usd271.com to be added to the group to receive the daily announcements. The announcements will be sent out daily when school is in session.
The open house for preschool students was held today, Friday, from 8:30-3:30. There is not an evening open house. We will see our preschool students on Monday for their first day of school. This is one of our 5 day weeks-preschool on Friday, the 26th also!
Attention Mini Striders
